PLACE/ Ladywell is an innovative demountable project built on the site of the former Ladywell Leisure Centre, in Lewisham. Designed by architect Richard Rogers and built more quickly and with less expense than traditional methods, on its upper floors the building provided accommodation for 24 registered homeless families. Below, 666m2 was made available on affordable short-term flexible leases. Spaces included: small retail pods forming a mini indoor market, larger retail units, a co-working space, and a cafe with attached event space.
