Meanwhile Space and IF_DO Architects were appointed by LBN to design and build a demountable building on a vacant plot of land opposite Manor Park Station for minimum 10-year meanwhile use period. The proposed building maximises its available footprint by offering a playful and innovative design over two storeys that forms a visual beacon from the town centre on a neglected corner of the high street. The 124sqm building (GIA) proposes a community hub with a flexible use, a cafe and individual studios aimed at the hyper-local SME rental market.
