Elephant Arcade is a former indoor car park transformed into retail space with a collective of 11 independent businesses, including retail, hair salons and two cafes.
The arcade was designed by Turner Works in partnership with LB Southwark and Meanwhile Space, to help transition local traders from the now-demolished shopping centre. An affordable rent policy and flexible contracts with no up-front deposit provide the opportunity to test and grow businesses. The units are let at between 50-80% of market rate.
