Paid Opportunity: Half Term at The Hithe
29th January 2024
Could you facilitate a nature or art themed workshop for kids or teens?
We are putting together a programme of one-off, free-to-attend activities for children and teens at The Hithe during the summer half term: Monday 27th May - Thursday 30th May, culminating in an all-ages neighbourhood garden party on Friday 31st May.
About
Made possible through Southwark Council's Neighbourhood Fund, this workshop series will aim to bring local people (children and adults) together, and will ideally make use of our outdoor community garden space. The sessions should last one/two hours. Examples include an introduction to herbal healing, an outdoor drumming circle, moulding clay to create a bird bath for the garden, and making bee hotels out of scrap wood. We will have members of Meanwhile Space staff on hand to help facilitate your session and are open to hearing your ideas, whether you've run a similar session before or are trying something new.
If you want to get involved but would like help on refining your ideas please get in touch and we can talk it through!
How to apply
Please fill out our online form with as much detail as you can currently provide. If anything is unclear or you would like to chat anything through please drop a line to elsa@meanwhilespace.com

Priority will be given to Rotherhithe-based practitioners and we aim to finalise the programme by mid-March.
